Production Worker
This position operates and monitors the continuous production line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow GMP, SQF, HACCP guidelines as they pertain to the position and maintain a high level of products
- Communicate with team members to ensure everyone knows which product to set-up
- Operate the line production equipment. Oversee the equipment set-up and adjust as needed to ensure efficient and quality productions
- Set-up line. Fill flour dusters, finger belts, cutting knives, molding table and mechanical adjustments
- Inspect the quality of the product and follow the product from beginning to the end of the line
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues or escalate issues to supervisor
- Understand and execute lock out tag out (LOTO) procedures
- Accurately complete and maintain daily production reports. Write tags and provide an accurate record-keeping on the computer table
- Work with supervisor and manage production work flow and appropriate staff levels
- Direct daily activities and training of production line
- Monitor and continuously make improvements to meet and exceed company standards Operate the production machine and clean it at the end of shift
- Assist with stretching product if necessary
- Keep the area clean and sanitized
- Assist with obtaining pans when necessary
- Performs housekeeping and maintenance tasks to keep the production area clean, Clean the line at the end of the shift
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience
- One-year food manufacturing facility experience in a production environment or as a machine operator
Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of HACCP regulations, OSHA, SQF, etc.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of how to disassemble and assemble plant equipment
- Ability to operate machinery
- Ability to complete tasks promptly and carefully
- Strong customer service, interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Working knowledge of baking and production equipment and processes or desire and ability to learn
- Must be able to communicate effectively with others
- Must have an eye for detail
- Must have the ability to work in a team setting to meet company and individual goals
- Must possess a sense of urgency and ability to work quickly
- Must be able to make quick, accurate decisions.
- Must be able to solve problems
- Must maintain harmonious working relations with employees from all departments and with management from all level
- Must display enthusiasm, the initiative, and pride in work
- Must be flexible of work scheduled. Hours and days may change depending on product or line assignments and overtime maybe required
